Rory McIlroy is a 35-year-old professional golfer from Northern Ireland. He is one of five golfers to win all the major golf tournaments, such as the U.S. Open in 2011, the PGA Championship in 2012 and 2014, the Open Championship in 2014, and the Masters in 2025. This achievement is called a Career Grand Slam. The Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, hosted the Masters tournament. This was his 29th tournament win, five of which were major championships. In total, he has 44 professional wins.

McIlroy was a child prodigy. He was introduced to golf when he was two years old, and he could also drive a golf ball 40 yards at that age. When he was eight, his dad hired a professional golf coach to help Rory improve his game. At age nine, he went to Miami in 1998 and won the Doral Junior Under-10 World Championship. In 2007, he went pro in the PGA.
