This year for the 14th time since 2009, the Annual Festival of Lights will be held at the Mendocino Botanical Gardens. The Festival of Lights is a really fun event that I have been to for every year of my life except for the years off in 2020 and 2021 due to covid. This year The festival will be held from November 29 to December 22 the last entries are at 5pm and doors close at 7.
When you’re actually at the festival there is a path that you follow that is lit by lights and as you walk there’s sculptures made out of Christmas lights. A few notable ones are the giant spider, the giraffe in the tree, the pirate ship, and the Volcano which spits out steam. When you enter the festival there is a food stand that serves coffee tea and hot cocoa. And for food there’s cookies, brownies, and other treats
Even though this event is pretty cool, the tickets still cost $20 at the door but if you order ahead they only cost $10. If you do order ahead the times you can order are 5 PM, 6 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7 PM.
Since Parking will fill up quick at the garden, There will be a shuttle to take people to the festival at 1211 Del Mar Dr, Fort Bragg, CA 95437 beginning at 4:45 and the last pick up is at 6:45.
