The new movie, Moana 2, is a sequel to the first one . It just came out on Nov. 27 and is in theaters now. I interviewed multiple people and asked for their opinions on the movie and I will be sharing them with you!

Ophelia, Fourth Grade

Ophelia said that she really liked the movie. She told me that her favorite new character was Matangi. She is a demigod of the bats and helps Moana escape to her friends. And she said that her  favorite part of the movie is when Moana gets turned into a demigod. She wasn’t expecting there to be a new bad guy but the ending was not surprising to her. But in the end she still prefers the first movie.

Zennen, Fourth Grade

Zennen loved the movie. His favorite part was when Moana and her friends almost died during the storm and in the giant clam. These were both parts of the movie that I will try not to spoil for everyone who hasn’t watched it. He said that his favorite new character was Moni, one of the new guys on Moana’s crew. He was surprised by the end, and he wasn’t expecting the Kakamora to turn out to not be villains. Apparently they were just looking for their home in both the first and second movie. Although the original is amazing he prefers the second move between the two.

Cynthia, Eighth Grade

Cynthia said she enjoyed the movie. Her favorite new character was a guy that reached the island and found Moana first. He has no name yet but maybe in the next movie! Her favorite part was when Moana and her crew reach the island and meet the other islanders. She was not surprised by the ending, which is interesting. I guess it seemed like something that might happen to the people that watched it. In the end she preferred the second movie.

Overall I’m seeing that a lot of people liked the new Moana movie. And there was no hatred in the interviews. A lot of people liked the second movie better and were surprised about how it ended. In the end we can conclude that the movie was greatly enjoyed by my interviewees and me!
