Lamine Yamal, a now 17-year-old Spanish football player, transformed his career as a rookie who played on the Spain National Team that won the 2024 Euro Cup.

Living in a coastal town in Barcelona, Spain, called Roca Fonda, a 6-year-old Yamal was recruited to an academy in Barcelona called La Masia, a school that prioritizes gifted youth for the beloved sport of football. If the student does well, they will be given an opportunity to play for FC Barcelona like Yamal.

Yamal’s first game was in April of 2023. He started at right winger with Barcelona, Barca won 4-0 against Real Betis, being the youngest player to ever play for Barcelona at 15-years-old.

Yet Yamal’s most acknowledged feat was playing in the Euros in September 2023, and winning in July 2024. Playing for the Spain National Team, Yamal scored a total of one goal and four assists according to espn.com.

Lamine Yamal’s career is only beginning, and the fans can’t wait to see how he grows.
